Paul Kim: Kazakhstan Has the Potential to Lead in Innovations

Kazakhstan became a place where words capable of inspiring great changes were spoken. Dr. Paul Kim, a globally renowned expert in education and innovation, emphasized during his visit to Kazakhstan that our youth possess unique qualities that could make the country a leader in the global innovation ecosystem.

Dr. Kim expressed deep admiration for the intellectual and creative potential of Kazakhstani students. According to him, the youth of Kazakhstan are not only on par with their peers in leading nations but, in some areas, even surpass them. He noted that fostering an entrepreneurial environment at universities is a key factor that can help the country develop an innovative economy and become an example for the world.

"In this era of rapid technological change, education must adapt," Dr. Kim said. "We need to teach students not just to adapt to existing realities but to create their own opportunities and solutions that change the game. Kazakhstan's youth have all the resources to achieve this."

For the Kazakh-American University, it was an honor to host such a distinguished expert and organize inspiring events that open new horizons for our students. We are genuinely proud that this event was highlighted by respected media like DKNews, which emphasize the importance of educational initiatives and their impact on Kazakhstan’s future.

Publications about our events inspire us to continue creating new opportunities for youth and entrepreneurs. Media support proves that we are on the right path, developing education that paves the way for innovation and prosperity.

Elena Sedykh, Chair of the Strategic Committee of TechnoWomen, also highlighted the importance of fostering entrepreneurial thinking and soft skills in students from an early stage:

"To adapt to the challenges of the new era, we need to cultivate a generation that can think creatively, work effectively in teams, and use technology efficiently. Artificial intelligence in education provides tools to create flexible, adaptive programs tailored to each student’s interests."

During his visit, Dr. Kim also conducted a masterclass for university rectors and faculty as part of the “IV National School of Rectors” forum. He shared Stanford University’s experience and his insights on education development, which received a lot of positive feedback.

We are grateful to DKNews for highlighting this event and showcasing the importance of educational reforms. Such publications reinforce trust in Kazakhstan's youth and motivate us to achieve new heights.
