Ambassadorial Hour at the Kazakh-American University

On October 8, 2018, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia Ilia Psaltirov held the Lecture for students and lecturers of the Kazakh-American University. The Lecture was held within the framework of the “Ambassadorial Hour” KAU’s dean initiative.
During the lecture, the Ambassador told the story of his country, cultural traditions and customs. In a colorful presentation, the Ambassador showed all the sights of Macedonia, the country's location on the world map and its geopolitical superiority over other Balkan countries.
The Ambassador of Macedonia told the KAU students about his life path, about the way to the approaches of becoming a diplomat. To the question: “Why did he want to become a diplomat”, He replied that he wanted to be useful for his country and that he had a difficult choice. He worked for 8 years in business, but this was not what he wanted to do in life and right now he feels his place in life and his to be a diplomat.
Having become the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ilya Psaltirov did not know Russian, Kazakh, although he knew 6 other foreign languages and this did not become a barrier for him. Now he is fluent in Russian and is studying Kazakh.
At the end of the meeting, Iliya Psaltirov instructed the students to “Never give up, to not dream, but live the dream”!
